Meet Melody Larg

We’re excited to share insights from Melody, one of our talented designers. Over the past year, she has grown in her role, embraced new opportunities, and broadened her skill set.

Below, she shares her thoughts on professional growth, collaboration, and her personal interests outside the studio.

Evolving at Air
How has your role at Air evolved since you first started about a year ago?

“I started at Air by supporting my colleagues on various projects, learning Air’s way of working. With a background in branding, I’ve expanded my expertise to include wayfinding, which has significantly broadened my skill set. Over time, I’ve grown in confidence, established my role within the studio, and become proficient in new software that enhances my work. I’ve also returned to using AutoCAD, drawing on my earlier studies in Architecture. I’m now managing project rollouts and enjoy the structured processes and methodical thinking involved. I’m excited to take on even more responsibilities!”

Collaboration and Growth
How does collaboration influence your development and success?

“I thrive on teamwork and greatly value the perspectives and ideas of my colleagues. Collaborating with others provides me with new insights and diverse ways of thinking, significantly contributing to my personal growth and enhancing my design work.

Stepping Outside My Comfort Zone
Do you believe there are benefits to stepping outside your comfort zone? If so, what are they, and how are you challenging your boundaries?

“Stepping outside your comfort zone is essential for growth. While it’s comfortable to stay within familiar limits, venturing beyond them provides valuable opportunities for personal and professional development. To step outside my comfort zone, I actively seek opportunities that challenge me. For instance, I’ve been given leadership roles in projects, which improves my leadership and communication skills.”

Personal Interests
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“I’m a wife and mother to two daughters and a dog. On the weekends, I enjoy activities such as paddleboarding at the lake, creating and crafting in my studio, and spending time with friends.”
