It’s fantastic to be back in beautiful Antwerp, working with Multi Corporation on the branding for the historic Stadsfeestzaal. This project has been particularly exciting as it involves not just a refresh of the visual identity, but also a comprehensive strategy to reintegrate the building’s cultural and architectural significance into its modern commercial use.
Stadsfeestzaal is an iconic building, and creating a fresh look and feel for its brand communications has been a delicate task. Our goal was to seamlessly integrate new design elements that reflect the vibrancy of the city, while also respecting the grandeur of the architecture that makes the building so unique. We’ve worked closely with architects, historians, and local artisans to ensure every design detail, from typography to colour palettes, enhances the historic aesthetic while providing a contemporary twist.
In addition to the visual identity, we’ve also developed a carefully designed wayfinding scheme. This is a crucial element, as it not only helps guide visitors through the building, but it also ensures the flow of traffic respects the structure’s historic integrity. Every sign, marker, and directional guide is crafted to blend in harmoniously with the surroundings, ensuring that the visitor experience is intuitive and effortless, whether they’re attending a cultural event or simply shopping.
Stadsfeestzaal is a celebrated landmark in Antwerp, and it’s been a pleasure to work on enhancing its brand identity while maintaining its historic charm. The fusion of old and new will help solidify the building’s position as a focal point of Antwerp’s cultural and retail scene. It’s rewarding to see how design can breathe new life into such a timeless space, making it relevant to both locals and visitors for generations to come.
